Revolutionary Transparency
"He has refused his Assent to Laws... He has obstructed the Administration of Justice... He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people... He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation ... all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States."
If it weren't for the old English style, you might think the above was taken from an indignant A.P. article this week, complaining about the growing list of scandals presided over by the supposedly "most transparent" administration in history. But no, these words are taken from the Declaration of Independence, written about that Tyrant, King George.
Unfortunately, there are so many layers of 'cutouts' standing between the POTUS and his throwaway minions, we won't see impeachment proceedings anytime soon. You know, if transparent means, "you won't see me anywhere close to where my dirty work is happening" maybe this is the most transparent administration in history!

A Word from the Wise: on "Consensus"
Today's word from the wise, on making consensus an objective:
"Consensus: The process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values, and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects; the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot get agreement on the way ahead. What great cause would have been fought and won under the banner: 'I stand for consensus?'"
British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher
